The Children's Museum Jordan is a non-profit educational institution situated within the Al Hussein Public Parks in Amman. It is designed as an interactive learning space for children up to age 14.
Visual Characteristics
The museum features a modern, multi-layered architectural design utilizing locally sourced materials, including limestone, concrete, and corrugated steel. The structure is defined by its "Building as a Toy Box" concept, characterized by vibrant primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) and geometric shapes. Distinctive elements include nine colorful cubes at the entrance spelling out "Children's Museum" in Arabic and the spherical dome of the planetarium. The design incorporates passive cooling strategies, such as natural ventilation and strategic shading via courtyards.
