Danao Adventure Park is an eco-adventure facility located in the municipality of Danao, Bohol. It is established on the site of the Francisco Dagohoy base camp, the leader of the longest Philippine revolt against Spanish rule.
Visual Characteristics
The park is situated within a rugged landscape of limestone cliffs, deep canyons, and the Wahig River. The terrain is characterized by dense tropical vegetation and dramatic vertical drops. The infrastructure consists of steel cables, zip lines, and viewing decks integrated into the cliffside.

Address: Magtangtang, Danao, Bohol, Philippines.
Access: Located in the interior of northern Bohol.
Transport: Approximately 72 kilometers (2–2.5 hours) from Tagbilaran City. Reachable via bus from Dao Terminal bound for Danao. Private vans or rental motorbikes are the most efficient modes due to the remote location.
Operating Hours: 08:00–17:00 daily.
Fees: Entrance fee is approximately PHP 50. Individual activities (e.g., The Plunge, Sky Ride) range from PHP 250 to PHP 700 each.

Suislype: A 480-meter long, 200-meter high zip line crossing the canyon.
Sky Ride: An open-air cable car offering panoramic views of the gorge.
Root Climbing & Rappelling: Utilizing the natural limestone cliffs and banyan tree roots.

Infrastructure & Amenities

Safety: All extreme activities use specialized harnesses and pulleys; guides provide mandatory safety briefings before each activity.
Best Time to Visit
Dry season (December to May) is critical. Heavy rain can cause the suspension of outdoor activities, particularly The Plunge and river-based excursions, due to safety risks and slippery terrain.
Facts & History
A logistical fact is that the park is a "community-based" eco-tourism project, with revenues supporting the local municipality. Historically, the area remained unconquered by the Spanish for 85 years (1744–1829) because of its difficult, defensible terrain.
