Visual Characteristics

The cave features a dramatic ceiling with numerous limestone formations. It is naturally illuminated by sunlight filtering through two circular holes in the ceiling, which creates spotlights on the water's surface. The lagoon is approximately 10 to 12 meters deep at its center, with cool, clear water.

Historical & Ecological Origin

The cave was discovered accidentally by a farmer clearing land; he found the holes and dropped a ladder (hagdan), hence the name "Hinagdanan" (meaning "laddered").
