Mushansar Canyon | Wadi Rum

Mushansar Canyon is a narrow sandstone gorge located in the northern region of the Wadi Rum Protected Area. It serves as an archaeological site and a natural water catchment area, containing a high density of ancient inscriptions and petroglyphs.

The canyon remains cooler than the open desert, making it a viable midday stop. The site should be avoided during rainy periods due to the high risk of flash flooding.
