The observatory is located 5 kilometers west of Hatta town center. Access is via Hatta Dam Road (E44), turning onto an unpaved access track approximately 1 kilometer before the Hatta Dam. Limited unpaved parking is available at the base of the observatory. No public transport directly serves the observatory; private vehicles are required.

The Hatta 360 Observatory was constructed in 2018 as part of Hatta's tourism development initiatives. Its purpose is to provide visitors with elevated vantage points of the Hatta region's geological features and landscape.
