Access is primarily via MTR (Mass Transit Railway) to the Ocean Park station on the South Island Line. Bus routes 6X, 70, 75, 90, 107, 170, 270, 272, 277, 298, 592, 621, 690, 973, and A10 also serve the park. Limited paid parking is available on-site. The park is accessible via a dedicated bus terminus and MTR station.
Historical & Ecological Origin
Ocean Park Hong Kong was established in 1977 by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Its initial purpose was to provide a recreational facility and promote marine conservation and education. The site was developed on reclaimed land and natural hillsides. The park has undergone several expansions and renovations since its opening.
