The office towers are tall, rectangular structures, while the mall section is lower and wider, incorporating multiple levels of retail space.

Historical & Ecological Origin

Suntec City was developed by the Suntec Group and construction was completed in 1997. The original purpose was to create a central hub for business, retail, and convention activities in Singapore's rapidly expanding downtown core. The design aimed to integrate these functions seamlessly.

Key Highlights & Activities

Visitors can explore over 300 retail outlets offering a range of goods and services. The Fountain of Wealth is a focal point, with water shows scheduled at specific times. The Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre hosts numerous international events. Dining options include a wide variety of restaurants and food courts. The complex also houses several office buildings.

Infrastructure & Amenities

Restrooms are available on all levels of the mall and convention center. Shaded areas are abundant within the mall and under covered walkways. Cell phone signal (4G/5G) is generally strong throughout the complex. Numerous food vendors and restaurants are located within the mall and surrounding areas.

Best Time to Visit

For photography of the Fountain of Wealth, early morning or late afternoon provides optimal lighting conditions, avoiding direct overhead sun. The mall is generally less crowded on weekday mornings. The best months for visiting Singapore, and thus Suntec City, are typically February to April, offering drier weather compared to other periods.

Facts & Legends

The Fountain of Wealth is recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest fountain in the world. According to Feng Shui principles, the circular design and water flow are intended to symbolize prosperity and good fortune, drawing wealth towards the center.
