The Amarillo Zoo is located at 700 Comanchero Trail, inside Thompson Memorial Park in Amarillo, Texas. It provides an engaging and educational experience for visitors, featuring over 120 animals representing 70 species from all over the globe.

Opening Hours:
The zoo is open daily from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. It is closed on major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Martin Luther King Day.

Admission Fees:

Adults (ages 13–61): $7.50

Seniors (ages 62+): $6.50

Children (ages 3–12): $5.50

Infants (ages 0–2): Free
Note: On Mondays, admission is half-price.

Parking:
Free parking is available for all visitors.

Directions:

The Amarillo Zoo can be accessed easily from the highway:

From I-40 E or W:
Take the exit onto US-287 N toward Downtown Amarillo.

Exit at Buchanan St. or Fillmore St. and continue north for about 3.5 miles.

Merge onto Dumas Dr., take the exit for N 24th Ave., turn left, then take the right at Funfest Blvd. to enter Thompson Memorial Park.

Take the second left onto Comanchero Trail to reach the zoo.

Facilities:

Gift Shop: The zoo features a shop where visitors can purchase souvenirs.

Picnic Areas: Designated areas for visitors to relax and enjoy a packed meal.

Playground: An area where kids can play and enjoy some downtime.
