AquaCity Poprad is an ecological recreational complex located in the northern part of Poprad, utilizing geothermal energy from underground boreholes to heat pools and power facilities.
Visual Characteristics
The complex consists of modernist glass-fronted halls and outdoor stainless steel pools. The dominant features are three outdoor thermal pools with blue backlighting and the "Blue Diamond" indoor pools, which feature integrated swim-up bars. The interior design follows a high-tech aesthetic utilizing chrome, glass, and multi-colored LED lighting.

Historical & Ecological Origin
Opened in 2004 on the site of a former municipal swimming bath, the resort utilizes water extracted from a depth of 1,300 meters, reaching the surface at 49°C. AquaCity has received the "World’s Leading Green Resort" award for its carbon footprint reduction through the use of heat exchangers and solar energy.
Key Highlights & Activities
