The beach features fine, light-colored sand. The water is typically clear and exhibits shades of turquoise and blue. The shoreline extends for approximately 2 kilometers. Rocky outcrops are present at the western end of the beach.

Location & Access Logistics

Cleopatra Beach is located west of Alanya Castle, approximately 1.5 kilometers from the city center. Access is directly from the D400 highway. Public parking is available along the coastal road, with metered spaces. Bus lines 1, 2, and 3 from Alanya Bus Station stop directly at the beach entrance.

Historical & Ecological Origin

The beach is named after Cleopatra VII of Egypt, who is said to have bathed in the waters here. Geologically, the sand is composed of eroded limestone and quartz particles. The coastline is part of the Mediterranean Sea's continental shelf.

Key Highlights & Activities

Swimming is permitted in designated areas. Sunbathing on the sand is a primary activity. Water sports equipment rentals are available, including jet skis and paddleboards. Walking along the promenade offers views of the coastline.

Infrastructure & Amenities

Restrooms and changing cabins are located at intervals along the beach. Shade is provided by rented umbrellas and sun loungers. Cell phone signal (4G) is generally strong. Food and beverage vendors operate from kiosks along the promenade.

Best Time to Visit

For photography, early morning (07:00-09:00) offers softer light. The optimal months for comfortable weather are May, June, September, and October. High tide does not significantly impact beach access.

Facts & Legends

A local legend states that the sand was a gift from Mark Antony to Cleopatra. Scientific analysis indicates the sand is primarily composed of small shell fragments and quartz, consistent with Mediterranean coastal deposits.
