Historical & Ecological Origin
The lakes were formed from sand and gravel extraction operations that concluded in the mid-20th century. Facts & Legends
A unique aspect of Fremont Lakes is the ongoing geological process of lake formation and alteration due to underground water flow and sediment deposition, meaning the lake depths and configurations can subtly change over time.
