Location & Access Logistics
The resort is situated approximately 10 miles (16 km) north of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Access is via Vermont Route 114. From St. Johnsbury, take I-91 North to Exit 23, then turn left onto US-2 West. Follow US-2 West for approximately 5 miles and turn right onto VT-114 North. Continue on VT-114 North for about 7 miles to the resort entrance on the left. Parking is available at the main base lodge. The nearest public transport is limited; regional bus services operate between St. Johnsbury and surrounding towns, requiring onward taxi or ride-share arrangements to the resort.
Historical & Ecological Origin
Burke Mountain Resort opened in 1961. It was developed to capitalize on the region's snowfall and topography for winter recreation. The mountain is part of the Green Mountains physiographic province, characterized by ancient, eroded mountain ranges.

Winter activities include downhill skiing and snowboarding across 55 trails serviced by four lifts. The resort also offers snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails.
