Batumi Boulevard extends from the Batumi Port area (approximately 1km West of the city center) northwards along Rustaveli Avenue and then continues along the coast. Access is direct from Rustaveli Avenue and various side streets. Parking is available along Rustaveli Avenue and in designated lots near the boulevard's entrances, though availability can be limited during peak season. Public transport options include bus lines 1, 7, 10, and 10A, which stop along Rustaveli Avenue adjacent to the boulevard. Bicycle rental stations are also present.
Historical & Ecological Origin
The initial section of Batumi Boulevard was established in 1881 by the governor of the Batumi Oblast, Mikhail Vorontsov. It was designed by French landscape architect Michel d'Heur. The original purpose was to create a recreational space and protect the coastline from erosion. The area is part of the Colchic deciduous forest ecoregion, characterized by a humid subtropical climate.

A local legend suggests that the Ali and Nino statue, a kinetic sculpture depicting the characters from Kurban Said's novel, moves to embrace each other at sunset. The boulevard was significantly expanded and modernized in the early 21st century, incorporating contemporary design elements.
