Białystok Town Hall (Ratusz w Białymstoku) is a historic Baroque building located in the center of the Kościuszko Market Square. Despite its name, it has never functioned as the seat of the city authorities; it was originally built as a commercial and cultural hub.
Visual Characteristics
The building is a Late Baroque structure characterized by its white facade, a prominent central tower with a clock, and a symmetrical layout with four corner alcoves. It stands as a detached building in the middle of a triangular market square, serving as the city's architectural centerpiece.

Historical Origin
Commissioned by Jan Klemens Branicki, the Great Crown Hetman, and designed by Jan Henryk Klemm. Construction took place between 1745 and 1761. Historically, it housed trading stalls, shops, and a courtroom. During WWII, the building was almost entirely destroyed by German forces in 1944 and was meticulously reconstructed between 1954 and 1958.
