Coyaba Beach is a public beach located on the western coast of Grenada, adjacent to the Grand Anse area.

This stretch of coastline features fine, light-colored sand and calm, clear turquoise waters. The beach is approximately 1.5 kilometers long and is fringed by coconut palms.

Location & Access Logistics

Coyaba Beach is situated approximately 6 kilometers north of the capital city, St. George's. Access is directly from the Maurice Bishop Memorial Highway (A3). Parking is available in a designated lot adjacent to the beach. Public bus route number 1A runs frequently along the highway, stopping within a 5-minute walk of the beach access point.

The beach is a natural formation, part of the coastal sedimentary deposits of Grenada. Its ecological significance lies in its role as a nesting ground for sea turtles during specific seasons.

Key Highlights & Activities

Swimming is a primary activity due to the calm water conditions. Sunbathing on the sand is possible. Snorkeling can be undertaken near the rocky outcrops at the northern end of the beach, particularly during calm sea states.

Best Time to Visit

For photography, early morning or late afternoon provides optimal lighting conditions with reduced glare. The dry season, from January to May, offers the most consistent weather. High tide is generally preferred for swimming and snorkeling.
