Curious Corner of Chamarel | Chamarel

Located in the Chamarel village of southwest Mauritius, Curious Corner of Chamarel is an interactive gallery of optical illusions and physics-defying exhibits. It is situated directly opposite the entrance to the Seven Coloured Earth Geopark.

Upside Down Room: A furnished living space where all objects are fixed to the ceiling, creating gravity-defying photo opportunities.

Laser Music Room: Interactive exhibit utilizing light beams to generate sound.

Transport: Self-driving is the primary mode of access; parking is available on-site. Public transport is limited in this mountainous region.

Entry Fees: Approximately 350 MUR for adults and 200 MUR for children (rates vary by currency and provider).

Climate: Located in the Chamarel Mountains, temperatures are typically 2°C cooler than coastal areas like Port Louis. The wettest months are January through March.
