The statue is located approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) west of the Kurunegala city center. Access is via the A10 road (Kurunegala-Kandy Road). Turn onto the road leading towards the rock. Parking is available at the base of the rock formation. Public bus services operate frequently between Kurunegala town and the vicinity of the statue; disembark at the stop closest to the rock.
