Parking is available on the island's main road, with designated areas for motorcycles and cars.
Historical & Ecological Origin
Maafushi Island is a natural coral island, formed over millennia by the accumulation of coral polyps. The beach itself is a product of the erosion and deposition of coral fragments. The island's development as a tourist destination began in the early 2010s, following a government initiative to promote local island tourism.
