The National Museum of Montenegro (Narodni muzej Crne Gore) is a complex of five distinct museum departments housed in several of Cetinje's most significant historical buildings. It serves as the primary repository for the nation's archaeological, historical, and artistic heritage.

Visual Characteristics

The museum is not a single building but a network of sites. The central administrative seat and the Art Museum are located in the Government House (Vladin dom), a monumental Neo-Renaissance structure with a distinct yellow facade and white stone ornaments. The interiors vary from grand, high-ceilinged galleries in the Art Museum to the fortified stone halls of the Biljarda.

Hours: General hours are Monday–Friday (07:00–15:00). Many departments have extended seasonal hours in summer (typically 09:00–17:00).

Entrance Fee: Individual tickets are available for each department (approx. 3–5 €), but a "combined ticket" is the most efficient option for visiting multiple sites.
