Underwater World Pattaya is situated on the eastern side of Pattaya, approximately 5 kilometers south of the city center along Sukhumvit Road. Access is via Sukhumvit Road (Highway 3). Parking is available on-site. Pattaya Songthaews (shared taxis) operate along Sukhumvit Road, providing public transport access.

Historical & Ecological Origin

The aquarium was established in 2003. Its purpose is to educate the public about marine biodiversity and conservation efforts. The exhibits replicate various marine habitats, including coral reefs and open ocean environments.

Visitors can observe feeding demonstrations for sharks and rays, which occur daily at specific times. The main attraction is walking through the underwater tunnel. Interactive touch pools are available for direct engagement with certain marine species.

Best Time to Visit

The best time for photography within the tunnel is during daylight hours when ambient light is sufficient. The aquarium is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Weekdays generally have lower visitor numbers than weekends.

Facts & Legends

The aquarium houses a Giant Grouper, one of the largest bony fish in the world, which can weigh over 300 kilograms. A specific section is dedicated to the marine life found in the Gulf of Thailand.
