Facts & Legends
A local anecdote suggests that the area was a favored hunting ground for the Potawatomi people due to the abundance of game and proximity to the Grand River. The center's name, "Woldumar," is a portmanteau derived from the names of the founding families: Wolcott, Dumont, and Marston.
