Established in 2010, Haluaghat Eco Park was developed on land previously used for agriculture and natural wetland. Its ecological origin is that of a floodplain ecosystem, characteristic of the Brahmaputra River basin. The park's purpose is to conserve the native biodiversity and provide educational opportunities regarding environmental stewardship.

Basic restroom facilities are present near the main entrance. Limited shaded areas are provided by natural tree cover. Cell phone signal (2G/3G) is intermittent within the park. No food vendors operate within the park boundaries; visitors should bring their own provisions.
Best Time to Visit
The optimal time for visiting is during the dry season, from November to March. Mornings between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM offer the best light for observing wildlife. The park is accessible year-round, but the monsoon season (June-September) can result in muddy pathways.
