Santa Maria degli Angeli is the most significant religious monument in Lugano, renowned for housing Switzerland's largest and most famous Renaissance fresco.

The Last Supper: Located on the left wall of the nave, this is another major work by Luini, originally painted for the monastery's refectory.

The Madonna and Child: A fresco in the first side chapel, also attributed to the school of Luini.
