Shangri-La Beach is a private coastal segment on Yanuca Island, connected to the Coral Coast of Viti Levu via a 100-meter causeway. It is the primary beachfront for the Shangri-La Yanuca Island resort.

Visual Characteristics

The beach features fine white coralline sand and is divided into several distinct zones by rocky outcrops. The main lagoon area is characterized by calm, turquoise waters sheltered by a deep fringing reef approximately 400 meters offshore. The "Adults-Only" beach section (Reef Wing) faces the open ocean and features a higher energy surf zone. Landscaping consists of mature coconut palms and rain trees that extend to the high-tide mark.

Location & Access Logistics

The site is located 12km west of Sigatoka Town and 55km south of Nadi International Airport. Access is restricted to resort guests and authorized visitors via a security gatehouse at the start of the Yanuca Island causeway. Public transport (buses and minivans) on the Queens Road can drop passengers at the Cuvu junction, followed by a 2km taxi or private transfer to the island.
