Tysiąclecia Park (Millennium Park) is one of the largest and most significant urban green spaces in Toruń, located on the left bank of the Vistula River in the Podgórz district.
Visual Characteristics
The park is characterized by its transformation from a 19th-century military fortification into a recreational woodland. It features a mix of dense forest areas, open meadows, and a prominent central pond. The landscape is dotted with historical brick fortifications and earthen embankments that have been integrated into the park's topography.

Historical Origin
The park is situated on the site of the former Fort XVII (and its surrounding works), part of the Toruń Fortress (Twierdza Toruń) built by the Prussians in the 19th century. After the military vacated the area, it was repurposed as a public park in the 1960s to commemorate the Millennium of the Polish State.
