The Utzon Center was constructed between 2005 and 2008, opening its doors in May 2008. It was designed by the renowned Danish architect Jørn Utzon, in collaboration with his son Kim Utzon. The original purpose was to create a permanent home for Utzon's archive and a center for architectural education and exhibitions in his hometown.
