The reserve is situated approximately 20km north of Savusavu, accessed via the Cross-Island Road.

Access: Visitors typically register at the nearby Vuadomo Village. An entrance fee is usually required, contributing to village community projects.

Transit: Requires a 4WD vehicle to reach the trailhead. Most visitors utilize taxis or hire private guides from Savusavu for the 30-minute drive.

Trekking: The main trail involves a moderately strenuous uphill hike. The path can be narrow and becomes slippery during the frequent rains characteristic of the region.

Muanivatu Trails: The primary trekking route within the reserve, leading to several viewpoints and the Vuadomo Waterfall.
