Bentonville's Route 3 bus line stops at the intersection of South Walton Boulevard and Orchard Drive, a 0.3km walk to the park entrance.
Historical & Ecological Origin
The land was acquired by the City of Bentonville in 1978. Development as a park commenced in 1982, with the pond excavated in 1985. The park's ecological origin is a reclaimed agricultural field, with the pond serving as a stormwater retention basin.
Key Highlights & Activities
Walking and jogging on paved paths. Fishing is permitted in the pond. Picnicking at designated tables. Use of the open-air pavilion for small gatherings. Birdwatching is possible due to the presence of various tree species.

Cell phone signal (4G/5G) is generally consistent within the park boundaries. No on-site food vendors; nearest facilities are located along South Walton Boulevard.
Best Time to Visit

Facts & Legends
Local lore suggests the pond was once the site of a small, forgotten orchard, hence the park's name. No verifiable historical records support this claim.
