Maquinit Hot Spring is one of the few saltwater hot springs in the world. Located on the southern coast of Busuanga Island, it is a popular evening destination for travelers in Coron seeking relaxation after a day of island-hopping.
Visual Characteristics
The site features two large circular pools built from stacked stones, filled with clear, steaming saltwater. The springs are nestled at the edge of a mangrove forest and the sea. A wooden boardwalk extends through the mangroves to the shoreline, offering views of the surrounding hills and the ocean. At night, the area is illuminated by warm, ambient lighting.
