The building was originally constructed in 1920 as the residence of the Bozzano family. It was later acquired by the state and converted into the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in 1940. The architectural style is representative of early 20th-century neoclassical design in Paraguay.

Facts & Legends

A notable piece in the permanent collection is "La Leyenda de Mbói Tui," a large-scale painting depicting a Guarani legend. It is said that the artist, Ignacio Telesca, spent over five years completing this work, meticulously researching indigenous folklore.
