Ain Dubai stands 250 meters (820 feet) tall. Its structure is primarily composed of steel. The wheel features 48 passenger cabins, each capable of holding up to 40 people. The cabins are enclosed and air-conditioned, with large windows providing panoramic views. The central hub and spokes are painted in a metallic silver finish.

Ain Dubai is situated on Bluewaters Island, accessible via a pedestrian bridge from Jumeirah Beach Residence. The island is approximately 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) west of Dubai Marina. Access by car is via Sheikh Zayed Road, exiting onto King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street. Parking is available in multi-story car parks on Bluewaters Island. Public transport options include the Dubai Metro to DMCC station, followed by a 15-minute walk or a short taxi ride. Bus routes 8, 84, and X28 serve the Jumeirah Beach Residence area.

Construction of Ain Dubai began in 2015. It was designed by the engineering firm Hobbledown and built by Hyundai Engineering and Construction. The wheel's purpose is to serve as a major tourist attraction and observation point for the Dubai skyline.
