The ridge was a strategic outpost for the retreating Japanese Imperial Forces during the end of World War II. It served as a natural fortress due to its high vantage point. Remnants of Japanese tunnels and foxholes were discovered on the property during its development into a resort. The site was named after the previous owner, Jack, and was later developed by the Dizon family into the leisure destination it is today.
