Historical & Cultural Origin

The ridge was a strategic outpost for the retreating Japanese Imperial Forces during the end of World War II. It served as a natural fortress due to its high vantage point. Remnants of Japanese tunnels and foxholes were discovered on the property during its development into a resort. The site was named after the previous owner, Jack, and was later developed by the Dizon family into the leisure destination it is today.

Local accounts mention that during the property's excavation, numerous artifacts and even unexploded ordnance from the war were found. It is said that the ridge was one of the last strongholds of the Japanese forces before their eventual surrender in the Davao region.
