Green Planet Dubai is situated in the City Walk district, approximately 15 kilometers from Dubai International Airport (DXB). Access is via Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), exiting onto Al Safa Street. Parking is available in the City Walk multi-story car parks. Public transport options include the Dubai Metro, with the nearest station being Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall (Red Line), followed by a short taxi or bus ride.

Green Planet Dubai is a man-made attraction, constructed as an educational and recreational facility. It was designed to replicate a tropical rainforest ecosystem, specifically the Amazonian biome. The biodome was opened in 2017.
