Jewel Changi Airport is situated between Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3 of Changi Airport. Access is directly from the airport terminals via air-conditioned walkways and escalators. Public transport options include the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) system, with the nearest station being Changi Airport MRT Station (CG2), which is directly connected to Jewel. Jewel Changi Airport was developed by Jewel Changi Airport Development, a joint venture between Changi Airport Group and CapitaLand. Construction commenced in December 2014 and it officially opened on April 17, 2019. The project's aim was to enhance the airport experience and create a destination for both travelers and local residents. The Shiseido Forest Valley is an engineered ecosystem designed to replicate a tropical rainforest environment.

The Shiseido Forest Valley is accessible throughout the day. For photography, early morning or late evening can offer less crowded conditions and softer lighting.
