The Baguio Botanical Garden, also known as the Igorot Village, is a sprawling park located between Wright Park and Teacher's Camp along Leonard Wood Road. It serves as a center for Highland flora and a cultural showcase for the Cordillera region.
Visual Characteristics
The park is characterized by its high-density greenery, featuring stone-lined pathways that lead to various themed gardens. The entrance is marked by a massive bronze bas-relief sculpture depicting the different ethnic groups of the Cordilleras. The landscape includes pine trees, fern-filled grottoes, limestone formations, and various traditional Igorot dwellings (huts) integrated into the garden.

Access: The main gate is directly along Leonard Wood Road.
Transport: Accessible via jeepneys labeled "Mines View" or "Pacdal" from the Baguio City Public Market or Session Road. Taxis are very common in this area.

Formerly known as the Imelda Park, it was established to preserve the indigenous plant species of the Cordillera mountains and to showcase the culture of the northern tribes. It serves as a vital genetic bank for highland flowers and medicinal plants. The park also contains remnants of Japanese tunnels from World War II.

Best Time to Visit
The park is open daily from 06:00 to 18:00. The best time to visit is during the Panagbenga Festival (February) when the flowers are in full bloom. Early mornings provide the best light and the coolest temperatures.
Facts & Legends
The park is often considered one of the most "Instagrammable" spots in Baguio due to the varied international backdrops. It is also a site for cultural rituals performed by local tribes during significant festivals.
