Historical & Ecological Origin
The park is located on the grounds of the Jesuit Villa and Retreat House. Historically, Mirador Hill served as the site of the Manila Observatory’s meteorological station in the early 1900s. The park was developed to promote environmental stewardship and spiritual reflection, utilizing the natural limestone formations and pine-dominated ecology of the hill.

Mirador Hill is one of the highest points in Baguio City. The "Peace Bell" at the memorial was cast from a bomb shell used during World War II, repurposed to ring for peace instead of war.
