Historical & Engineering Origin
Built in the late 2nd century AD (c. 190–200 AD) during the Roman city of Odessos, the complex spanned over 7,000 square meters. It utilized a sophisticated hypocaust system-an underground heating network of pipes and ceramic pillars that circulated hot air to heat the floors and walls. The baths were abandoned in the late 3rd century AD due to the empire's economic decline.
